Muskie Musik Academy is a community-focused music school and studio offering early childhood music classes and private lessons. Classes start October 3.
Learn together, have fun
Once a week for 45 minutes. Busy families can swap between Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Pre-notes
An introductory piano prep program. It incorporates improvisation, exploratory piano, pitched percussion with singing, movement, and general musicianship development.
Little Keynotes
A piano group class for students ready to learn short pieces, each week adding a new note and learning around a theme. Students learn dynamics, tempo, expression and more.
Storytellers
Similar to Little Keynotes — keyboard geography, rhythms, finger numbers — but with more complex pieces. All the piano pieces are based around a story.
Additional days and times may be offered based on popular request. Sibling and referral discounts available.
Piano, brass, woodwinds and jazz
Ages 6 to adult, taught one-on-one by faculty with decades of studio and performance experience.

Sondra Bell, D.M.A.
Director and Lead Teacher
A New Concord native, Dr. Bell received her musical training at Bowling Green State University, University of Northern Colorado, and The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has taught 15 years general and instrumental music, 15 years at the university level, and has taught privately for 30 years.
Mark Israel, M.M.
Co-teacher
A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mr. Israel received his musical training at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the University of Northern Colorado. A 24-year member of the highly acclaimed United States Air Force Falconnaires and a two-time grammy award jazz soloist winner.
